I hooked it up to my Onkyo TX-NR906 receiver and Sharp LC-46D-64U, it was a continuous connection with the exception of some setting changes .. The Onkyo DV-BD507 is set in a simple way .. I'm not a tech geek, but I have two great Blu-ray player Sony BDP-S1 and Sharp HP20U Blu-Ray both have great pictures and very good scaling up to 1080p .. But this new Onkyo BD507 for me is excellent for movies on Blu-Ray and scaling up to 1080p on .. Regular DVD
